I’ve had my phone for almost 5 years now. I’m really not into buying new gadgets, not so techie in short. Probably because I’m impatient in learning the new interface of new gadgets nowadays. But yesterday I bought a new phone that I’ve wanted to buy since I saw it on TV. It’s not actually one of the high-end phones available in the market today. It’s basically a cheap phone but I liked it. I wanted to try a touchscreen phone because my old phone has the old alphanumeric keypad. I went to a phone store together with my sister to look for Myphone TW1 Duo. In the first store, it’s still 3,999Php. I thought the price went down. Then we went to another store and the phone is only 3,650Php. I got the phone, the black one. And now I’m in the getting-to-know-my-phone stage, which I find enjoyable because of some added features.

First, the phone is dual sim, which was my primary reason for buying this phone. I now have a sun cellular number, aside from my globe number. And now I know how a dual sim works (wala sa bundok non, haha). Second it’s wifi ready which I can use in the office, during coffee breaks.
The screen has a good response. It also has a trackpad navigation which I only discovered early this morning J. Another thing, I like the e-book reader application wherein I can read some of my downloaded e-books. I can now have something to read when traveling and when I do have something to do (which rarely happens). The camera is 3.2 MP.
I still have a lot of things to discover in this phone, but I think it’s a good buy for those who want a phone that is not far behind high-end phones today at a cheaper price.
Article: Could you live without looking at yourself? One woman swears off mirrors for a year
Well, I can say yes, in my opinion not looking yourself at the mirror could lead to greater self-acceptance and appreciation of your body. I’ve experienced it and I can say that I can go out of the house feeling good and confident, not worrying so much how I look or how other people would say about me. I lived before with a huge mirror in the house before going out. I spent so much time just looking at myself, checking how my hair was, how I wear the dress (school uniform at that time), how I would stand. In short, I was really into checking how I would act and show myself out in the public before I go out of the house. Analyzing it, that routine just added to my insecurity because I kept thinking if I look good. I keep recalling how I checked my hair, clothes, shoes, how I will walk. Unconsciously, instead of building confidence, I started losing it. It just came back when I moved in another house because I get married. We really started from scratch. We didn’t put importance on buying a huge mirror. We only had small ones good enough to check our hair and face. Slowly, I felt better each day going to the office not really minding how I look but I felt confident. I don’t worry so much about how my body looks or if my extra fats are beginning to show or something. I just realized that it is very important to feel good about yourself first, to accept yourself. And then later on, taking good care of yourself and your body become effortless. ^_^
The Museum of Small Things is a wonderful Australian jewellery design company, they use 3D printing technologies to make these lovely rings from silver and stainless steel. I adore the little octopus! Thank you to Licky for messaging me about the company, brilliant discovery.
Nice design. I like the first one. I prefer stainless steel than silver because of my allergic reactions with silver. Hope I can find stuffs like these here in the Phil. Very creative designs^.^

Begin the Conversation
Instead of having parents sign a syllabus with difficult language try sending a personalized email.
- I use a blanket email I copy and paste but the first two sentences always say something along the lines of, “Dear Mr./Mrs. Doe, I really enjoyed meeting Johnny who is very bright and made me laugh with jokes.” I always try to send a positive message for every child. This way the first communication you have with the parent is positive versus negative.
- Include information and links to your wiki page, school website, your contact information, where they can find homework, your meeting hours, schools supplies needed, and other important dates or information.
- Use headers like I am using in this post for easy navigation.
